The Meccanisms MotorVator

Andrew Wells' advertisement feature in Electronics in Meccano on the Meccanisms MotorVator says: "You write your program of instructions on a Windows™ PC, then download the program to the MotorVator."
I have an Apple iMac (O.S. 9.1). Would it be possible to write a program on that for the MotorVator instead of on a Windows PC?
