Is it possible to use two capacitors in parrallel for smoothing a dc rectified voltage.

Capacitors in parallel

Yes you can do this - putting capacitors in parallel sums their values, so for example, two 100uF caps would give 200uF.

Incidentally, if you put them in series you would get 50uF, as the same formula that applies to resistors in parallel also applies to capacitors in series!
