How can you split up power?

Ok, im trying to make a little waterfall thing. I want the water to fall on a globe-like thing with lights inside it or maybe rotating lights. So I would just love to know how to make one connection to the wall outlet power the little water pump, lights, and a possible small motor; that is with just the needed power going to each object as to not burn-out anything.
