Would a To-3 style case (with collector inside itself) affect the way the darlington pair circuit is wired up? |

TO3 case |
The Base, Collector and Emitter connections must be connected to the same places, so it will be the same circuit but you will certainly need to adapt the physical layout. |

How so? It didnt change at all with the bigger transistor as I used wires to locate the transistor and heatsink away from the circuit board. Do any other changes need to be made? |

No changes needed |
If you are using wires to connect to the transistor off the board there is no need to make any changes. |

To get a robust connection when mounting the transistor off board the use of veropins in place of the transistor leads is recommended. |
