destroy a 7805 voltage regulator |
Hi, nice site - lots of info! I have accidentally connected my 7805 in TO-92 packaging the other way around (i.e. my input voltage of 12V went to the 7805 output). Is this deadly?
In the documentation they mention that a reversed input voltage (+ <-> -) would kill it, but I did not do that, as you see... so that's why I'm asking.
Thank you so much in advance!! |

This is the answer to your question alexie, the regulator was not destroyed because the reverse voltage was not up to -12v in value |
