creating a delay with 555 monostable

Hello,
I'd like some advice on this idea: I need to turn on a lamp 10 seconds after the actuel signal has been generated. The low state of the pin activates a relay that controls the lamp. Should I use a monostable to do this? If yes, what would be the best configuration?
