What's the current drain for the off state in mono

Specifically it's a circuit where the monostable NE555 is directly powering another circuit at about 100mW at 6V, with the supply anywhere from 6 to 12V, and I want the battery drain to be minimal when it's off.

555 current consumption

According to the 555 datasheet, the standard 555 typically consumes 3mA at Vs=5V, and 10mA at Vs=15V with no load.

But there is also a low current version, the 7555. This consumes 60uA, and can run from 2V-18V DC, which might be handy for a battery application.

It does have a lower output current though - 100mA at Vs=18V.

BTW the 7555 also has a slightly different formula for the time period:

T = 0.69 x R x C
