Can somebody explain me why is does not work or what I need to fix?

Or can you give me another web page were I can find a 555 bistable circuit schematic. I has done a lot of search but only find monostable and astable circuits.

THX,

The real bistable circuit works!

The real 555 bistable circuit certainly works - you can try this on a breadboard if you have the components (you can re-use them afterwards). If you have copied the circuit correctly I'm afraid it is the simulator which needs fixing!

Incidentally, reset (pin 4) overides trigger (pin 2) so the output (pin 3) should be low when the reset input is low whatever the state of the trigger.

Try connecting pin 6 to 0V

A further thought...

Try connecting pin 6 to 0V, the simulator may be unhappy with pin 6 unconnected, although a real 555 works OK like this.

The problem was with Windows XP

Hey Guys, I found that the problem is my Windows XP program. I intall the multisim 2001 on a computer with windows 2000 and everything works OK.

Thank you for your time and help.
